I. Definition of electric vehicles
According to the national standard GB/T 19596 Term for Electric Vehicles, electric vehicles refer to hybrid electric vehicles, pure electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles.

The Energy Conservation and New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2012-2020) issued by the State Council makes it clear that new energy vehicles mainly refer to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, pure electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles.

In addition to the degree of petrol-electric hybrid, electric vehicles can be divided into three types according to the structure of the power system: series, parallel and hybrid.
1. Tandem Hybrid Electric Vehicle (SHEV) :

3. Hybrid Hybrid Electric vehicle (PSHEV) :
It can not only realize the control of engine and motor separately, the vehicle is driven by motor, but also realize the common drive of engine and motor.
Features:
(1) It has the advantages of series structure and parallel structure;
(2) Complex structure and control, high structure cost.
Ii. Introduction of common types of electric vehicles
1. Weak hybrid cars
(1) Add idle start and stop function on the basis of traditional car
(2) The fuel saving rate is about 5%-8%
(3) The cost will increase by about 1000-3000 yuan
Weak hybrid vehicles mainly have STT motor system (enhanced start motor system) and BSG motor system (12V and 48V voltage platform).
2. Hybrid cars

(2) Fuel economy rate is about 20%-30%

3. Force cars

(2) The fuel saving rate is about 30%-50%
(3) The cost will increase by about 30,000-70,000 yuan
4. Plug-in hybrid
(1) Add idle start and stop, acceleration booster, braking energy recovery, driving (cruising) charging and high-speed pure electric driving functions on the basis of traditional cars
(2) Fuel economy rate is about 50%-70%
(3) The cost will increase by about 50,000-100,000 yuan
(4) The dynamic system configuration is the same as strong mixing
5. Pure electric cars
Compared with the traditional car, the engine is replaced by the motor, the fuel tank by the battery, the transmission by a single or two-stage reducer replaced, the vehicle cost increases about 80,000 to 150,000 yuan.
Pure electric vehicles have the following advantages:
(1) Simpler structure and higher reliability of the power system;
(2) NVH performance incomparable to traditional cars;
(3) Zero emission and no pollution;
(4) The use cost is reduced by about 60%-80%;
